Beta Beta Members Make International Connections!

Members of Sigma's Beta Beta Dallas Chapter recently hosted a luncheon for the Global Nursing Conference at Texas Woman's University. Chapter leaders also coordinated "Code-Blue" and "Women's Health" simulations for the students from Korea-always a highlight!

Beta Beta Members are Leaders!

Nurse researchers from diverse disciplines presented information
on recent literature, research methodology, results, and clinical
implications of recent nursing research. Throughout the symposium
recent neuroscience nursing research was discussed along with
how it has and will continue to impact patient care, including topics:

· Acute Stroke Management

· Stroke Transitions of Care

· Stroke in Unique Populations

· Traumatic Brain Injury

· Seizure Management

· Neurological Assessments

· Neurological Monitoring

· Global Health and Neurological Disorders

· Multidisciplinary Collaboration

2018 Winter Event

We had an educational evening at our Winter event on Monday, February 12th. TWU nursing students presented research based posters to members on several interesting topics! This was followed by a lovely dinner for all in attendance. The program was full... Dr. Olsen presented a brief summary of research that was partially funded by a Sigma Theta Tau Beta Beta scholarship. Guest speakers Leonard Keesee and Carissa Enright presented "Hope for the Impaired Nurse: TPAPN"

We had the Beta Beta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau Winter Event on Feb. 13th and it was great!

There was a panel discussion of reasons why nurses are leaving the bedside.

The panel consisted of: nursing students, faculty, nurse managers, supervisors & an assistant chief nursing officer!
It was a great panel discussion!

And we had a wonderful dinner before the panel discussion.
