Past Founder's Day Event--- October 7, 2013

The Founder’s Day program presented at TWU in October was inspiring. “The American Nurse Project” was the title of the program.
The program was organized by Nola Schrum, Vice
President of the Beta Beta Chapter.  Ms. Rhonda Collins MSN RN came to the TWU campus in
Dallas to discuss her work on a special quest to bring the stories of everyday nurses to the public.  Ms. Collins believes that nurses are profoundly diverse, extensively educated, and needed a forum in which to tell their stories. Through her commitment and determination, The American Nurse Project was born. Working with Carolyn Jones and with support of Fresenius Kabi USA, the project continues to publicize the lived experience of nursing. The program was
attended by well over 70 people who were motivated by Ms. Collins’s story telling.
